NYT Op-Ed Source Revealed!

Despite our aversion to anonymous sources, sometimes you just need to get a job done.  That is the position we found ourselves in when we reached out to our anonymous source at the New York Times and they revealed that he, yes he, is a member of the Deep State and is leading the resistance movement from within the administration.  So when we saw some of the key markers in the writing and the substance of what was said, we had a pretty good idea.  Our unnamed source confirmed it.  Fearful of losing her job with the New York Times, she asked that we don’t reveal her name and we agreed.

When you think about it, the Op-Ed writer identity makes sense.  He writes that they have worked to curb Trump’s agenda.  But Trump’s agenda marches on with tax cuts, portions of the border wall already under construction, zero tolerance on illegal immigration, tariffs, wins with North Korea, and a tougher stance with allies who haven’t paid their fair share.  Obamacare has been dismantled without the mandate, and pages of crippling regulations have been tossed in the trash.  Trump has successfully placed 24 judges, including one to the Supreme Court and one pending.  There is only one area where his agenda has been thwarted, and that aroused our now confirmed suspicion.

The anonymous Op-Ed came from the office of Rod Rosenstein.  Whether he wrote it himself or a staffer claimed his name is unclear.

Trump has failed to “lock her up”, referring to Hillary Clinton and her illegal email server and destruction of evidence.  Trump has not fired Rosenstein, Sessions, Ohr, Mueller, or several others potentially involved in the “Deep State” movement to protect Clinton.  The agents who have been fired have been as a result of internal DOJ investigations with overwhelming evidence of bias.  Rosenstein in fact attempted at one point to create an Obstruction of Justice charge against Trump by recommending he fire Comey and then refusing to clear the record when people speculated that Comey was fired to stop the Russian investigation.

Rosenstein also set up the special counsel investigation with Mueller and has prevented Mueller from being fired.  Meanwhile, he has not set up a second special counsel investigation to look into how the Clinton email investigation was handled.  Many observers, including Trump, have been tearing their hair out trying to figure out why the Clinton email investigation continues to go under the radar.  It is clear now that Rosenstein considers this part of his resistance duties, to steer Trump away from what he believes are Trump’s worst inclinations.

Rosenstein himself at one point faced impeachment proceedings from Congress for failing to produce evidence, refusing to remove unnecessary redaction from reports, and refusing to set up a second special counsel to look into the FBI’s handling of the Clinton investigation.

Chuck Schumer himself said that intel officials have a way to “strike back” if someone speaks badly about them.  Rod Rosenstein wrote the New York Times Op-Ed because he believes he has a duty to stop Trump.  That idea has been articulated throughout the FBI higher ups in texts on record, and through DOJ employee Bruce Ohr who continued to feed fake dirt on Trump to the FBI from Christopher Steele even after the FBI fired Steele.  Rosenstein also knows his time is running out.  As soon as the Russia investigation is over, which should be very soon, or right after the election Rosenstein and Sessions will be looking for jobs.  For Rosenstein it was now or never.  He knew he would eventually be discovered, but he is the most expendable.

Our report likely won’t be picked up.  That’s Ok.  Unbiased observers have already seen this move to invoke the 25th amendment by the Deep State and take it for what it is.  It is the Birther Movement part II.  No one who matters takes it seriously.  The New York Times doesn’t have the credibility it used to.  The story, like Russian meddling, won’t affect a single vote.  But the source will be discovered by the media in time and face the consequences that come with trying to stage an internal coup against the President of the United States.  Until then, President Trump will continue to implement the portions of his agenda that don’t run through Rod Rosenstein’s office.

While CNN’s Jim Acosta continues to suffer PTSD from being yelled at at a Trump rally, Carlos Bayon was just arrested in New York for threatening the families of Republican Representatives Steve Scalise and Cathy McMorris Rogers.  Bayon was apparently responding to the fake news reports detailing Obama’s era of putting illegal immigrant kids in cages as Trump era policy.  Bayon said in his threatening phonecalls that he would “feed them lead” referring to Scalise and McMorris Rogers’ families.  “Ojo por ojo, diente por diente. [“An eye for an eye; a tooth for a tooth.”] That is our law and we are the majority. Have a good day.”  This comes as CNN commentators continue to fear that Trump calling fake media reports fake news will lead to violence against the press.

The threats from the anti-immigration enforcement terrorist come just over a year after Steve Scalise was shot at a Congressional soft ball game practice.  And only weeks after the Left led by Maxine Waters and Ocasio-Cortez began calling for ICE to be abolished.

David Hogg was at it again.  Hogg showed up at the NRA headquarters to protest, among other things, America.  One one side he had Therese Okuomo, who he calls one of his biggest inspirations.  Okuomo is known for getting protesters together and chanting about America being fascist and horrible.  On the other side, Hogg ironically had armed guards.

Twitter is in hot water after suspending the account of Candace Owens, a conservative commentator with Turning Point USA.  Owens crime was taking one of New York Times editorial writer Sarah Jeong’s many violent, racist tweets and replacing the word “white” with “Jew” and “black”.  While Jeong was left alone by Twitter when her attacks were towards white people, Owens was blocked despite the rest of the verbiage of the tweet being the same.  Twitter has since unblocked her account after the uproar and apologized.

Twitter thinks Sarah Jeong’s tweets were racist.  But only when someone else says it.

How much will Democratic Socialism cost?  How about triple what our government costs now.  Over the weekend I mentioned how Ocasio-Cortez wants to raise taxes by $4 trillion to have an eco-friendly liberal economy.  Government guaranteed jobs comes in at another $543 billion.  A new study is saying universal healthcare through Bernie Sanders’ Medicare for All plan would cost another $3.2 trillion per year.  That’s makes for an annual budget of $12 trillion per year to cover the Democratic Socialist agenda.  The current budget is $4 trillion and we have annual deficits of about a half a trillion.  Extrapolating that out, we’d not just have to increase taxes 3x.  We’d also have to cover another 1.5 trillion dollar deficit.

How would you like to pay three times the taxes you are paying now and still have our government crushed with debt?

Study: Medicare for all completely unaffordable

President Trump is calling for a government shut down if Democrats continue to obstruct immigration reform.  But you need to remember how this works.  If a Republican Congress puts together a spending bill that Democrats obstruct, then it’s a Republican shutdown.  If a Republican President refuses to sign a bill that doesn’t take care of problems like immigration, then it’s a Republican shut down.  If Democrats can’t get enough votes to pass their agenda because Republicans are obstructing, then it’s a Republican shut down.  If Democrats control both houses and the Presidency, but can’t get their agenda passed, it’s a Republican shut down.  Basically, it’s always the fault of the Republicans.

Trump says fix it or shut it down

Trump’s tariffs have created odd bedfellows.  Democrats, who up until Trump did it supported protective tariffs, are now 100% anti-tariff.  Not really, but whatever it takes to win elections.  Meanwhile, the hated Koch brothers have signaled they will work with Democrats who oppose tariffs and support them.  So you have a Republican President who supports tariffs, Democrats who suddenly oppose them, and Libertarians who are going to put up money to elect Democrats who are anti-libertarian on everything but tariffs.  What a weird world we live in.  I wonder who Democrats hate more, Trump or the Kochs?

Maryland is joining other states in rejecting single payer universal healthcare systems after discovering the cost.  The program would cost the state $24 billion and would be paid for by an automatic 10% tax on everyone’s income and a flat $2,800 tax on every man woman and child.  For an individual making $50k a year, that would amount to $650 a month, compared to current plans averaging $475 per month.  Maryland Democrats were reportedly shocked to discover that universal healthcare isn’t free.  Wait until they see the price tag for universal income.

All is quiet on the northern front, that is the North Korea front, as North Korea dismantles one of their nuclear sites.  North Korea has also not launched missiles or tested nukes in 9 months.  The press has suggested that North Korea wasn’t holding up their end of the bargain or that the deal was off, but that seems to not be the case.  It seems that North Korean denuclearization is proceeding.

The ACLU gets what it wants, though they won’t admit it.  Political Brief reported 6 days ago that the ACLU had won a hold on deportations so that parents could choose to be separated from their children and deported while their children stayed.  Now the ACLU is complaining that 463 parents were deported without their children.  But this is exactly what they were fighting to achieve a week ago.  The ACLU admits they have no idea how many of those 463 parents signed consent forms requesting to be deported without their children.  So far 897 parents have been reunited with their children, 538 more have been cleared and are in the process of being reunited, and 454 have been deemed to be ineligible for reunification either because they are unrelated human traffickers or violent criminals.

Fact checking the factcheckers: Politifact had an article out yesterday giving Kamala Harris a “True” rating for her statement that “nearly 2,600 children who are separated from their parents” on June 17th.  Harris also said “these children are in prison”, a completely false statement that wasn’t fact checked by Politifact.  In fact, the very reason children are separated from their parents at the border is the Flores decision which says you can’t put kids in jail.  Obama ran afoul of this ruling and we ended up with the now infamous photos of kids in cages from the Obama era.

Back to Politifact.  The first problem with with their analysis is that this number is a moving target.  The number Harris is using is from July 13th testimony, but since family reunification has been ordered by Trump and the courts, that process continues.  That number was very likely inaccurate when she said it and far less accurate now.

But the bigger problem is that many of the children held by the state didn’t come with their parents or won’t be reunified with their parents because their parents are criminals.  According to Politifact’s own article, nearly 50% of children under 5 were not reunified because they were brought here by traffickers or because their parents were violent criminals.  If you extrapolate that out over Kamala Harris’s figure, we are looking at about 1,250 children who hadn’t been reunified days before she made her statement.  We rate Politifact’s analysis to be 75% biased.

Rumor has it: Tony Podesta is being offered immunity to testify against Paul Manafort.  If you remember, Manafort is in trouble for laundering Russian money to two US lobbying groups.  One of them was run by Democrat and Clinton ally Tony Podesta.  Podesta and Manafort worked together to lobby for the Ukraine in the United States.  Isn’t it interesting that Robert Mueller and his team of Clinton supporting lawyers would offer immunity to Tony Podesta in order to bring down Paul Manafort for the same crime?

Gallup has a new poll out.  Apparently no one cares about Russia.  The biggest issues on the minds of Americans are the economy, dissatisfaction with government, illegal immigration, and race relations.  Russia garnered less than 1% as a concern in the poll.  Seems like Schumer should consider this since the DNC seems to be running on obstruction, economy crushing tax hikes, open borders, racial division, and Russia.

Vast majority of Democrats don’t know what their stance on ICE is.  Like Ocasio-Cortez trying to find a position on Israel, Democrats are wandering adrift on the issue of border security.  Republicans took advantage of their wishy washy position Wednesday with a resolution expressing support for ICE.  Of the 183 Democrats in the House, 133 voted “present” rather than take a side.  18 voted yes on the resolution and 34 voted no.  Because 73% of Democrats couldn’t take a side on the issue, the resolution easily passed.  One thing is for sure, there is no unity on the left when it comes to border security, and for most of them the activism is all talk.

San Francisco takes the next step by registering illegal aliens and non-citizens to vote in local school board elections.  Federal law still prevents them from voting in national elections.  Just like Federal law prevents people from growing and using pot…

Democrats have introduced a bill to make it easier to claim bankruptcy for student loans.  The reason unsubsidized student loan interest rates are around 8% rather than 16% like credit card debt is because it’s hard to claim bankruptcy on student debt.  Student loans have no collateral.  A 16% rate would make a $100,000 student loan cost about $500,000 after the interest is paid over a 30 year term.  Is that the trade off the 89% of students who pay their loans on time want?

What to know about possible bankruptcy changes for student debt

Did Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez call for violent opposition and illegal activities?  In her interview with Now!, Ocasio-Cortez said that activists needed to occupy ICE offices and airports.  While occupying ICE offices violates a few laws, occupying airports would get her mixed up with the TSA and DHS as well.  Probably not a good idea.  I’m pretty sure her followers could face jail time for attempting to illegally enter and occupy any area of an airport past security.  But by all means, I hope she gives it a shot.

“This may well be the beginning of the end”

“This may well be the beginning of the end”.  That’s the opening statement from Charles Blow at the New York Times in a November 21st Op-Ed.  The title of the article is “Trump: Making America White Again”.  Blow’s argument centers on Trump’s cabinet picks and how that makes America patriarchal, white, racist, and misogynistic.

Of course, Blow’s timing wasn’t great.  Since labeling Trump a racist misogynist, Trump has picked three women for his cabinet including Elaine Chao, an Asian American immigrant.

Blow’s charges of racism, sexism, and so on are standard Liberal fare.  To be sure, Trump and Bannon have had many issues with saying blatantly sexist stuff, and Trump may have even done some things that were almost as bad as what Democrat favorite Bill Clinton did back in the day.  But as far as Trump’s “orange glow” being the sun setting on America, not quite.

Even Blow’s evidence for AG pick Jeff Session’s apparent blatant racism comes from dubious sources.  Blow cites the Southern Poverty Law Center, which is a radical Leftist group that labels all things Conservative as racist, bigoted and homophobic, yet is still considered a valid source by Liberals.  What is even funnier is SPLC’s actual statement, which considers Sessions to be a racist because he opposes illegal immigration.

SPLC considers opposition to illegal immigration and sanctuary cities to be akin to white supremacy and eugenics.  Of course, that’s rich coming from a party that is pro-abortion. Abortion rates among minority groups occur at alarmingly high rates.

Trump is not creating the white male utopia that Blow fears.  If anything, Trump is focusing on middle class workers who are a large percentage white.  They’ve been ignored for a while, which created one of the demographic shifts in this election.  The other major demographic shift was that Hillary Clinton received the lowest share of the black vote in 20 years.

Every year some whacko group predicts the end of the world.  A few years ago it was the end because the Mayan calendar had run out.   Harold Camping predicted the end of the world 12 times.  This year, it’s the New York Times.

Internment Camps? Not So Fast.

Perhaps you have seen the memes and posts about how Trump and his team are planning on setting up a Muslim registry based on internment camps.  Maybe you have been chided by your friends to stand up to Trump and not let this happen.  I’m happy to report, the “Muslim Registry” as described by the Left is largely a myth.

While Trump and his team have certainly earned the award for the worst communicators, Carl Higbie is clearly not calling for internment camps for Muslims. He’s not even calling for a ban on Muslims or registry for all Muslims. If you cut though the shock and hype, they are talking about re-activating NSEER (National Security Entry-Exit Registration).

This was a program that started in 2002 and lasted until 2011. It was a program for visitors on visas from specific countries and required fingerprinting, questioning, and in some cases for individuals to keep in touch during their visit. This “registry” was not for citizens. The countries covered by NSEER were mostly Muslim countries, but also included North Korea. Aspects of the registration program were ended in 2003, the rest of the program faced and easily overcame legal challenges.

The program is still law on the books. It was effectively disabled by President Obama in the third year of his Presidency when he removed all of the countries from the watch list. Both Higlie and Kris Kobach (who helped design NSEER in the first place) have proposed to Trump that he reactivate NSEER. That, folks, is your “Muslim registry” based on “internment camps”.

The US is not the only country that has a registration system for certain visitors.

Canada, for example, requires registration including fingerprints and photograph for visa holders from 29 countries. 90% of those countries are Muslim. Canada is not alone. At least 16 countries use a biometric registry for certain visa holders. They include Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Netherlands, Germany and Italy.

Keep this in mind when your friends tell you that a “Muslim registry” is the equivalent of internment camps.
