Things the media is choosing not to report

As the Christine Blasey Ford drama sucks all the air out of the room, there are some things the media is either lightly reporting or ignoring outright.  These would be huge “stop the presses” moments if it were about Republicans.  It involves blatant racism, domestic abuse, and international intrigue.  But it doesn’t look good for Democrats and we are within two months of an election.

  1. Beto O’Rourke tells a black student that we need cheap, illegal labor because no one else will pick cotton.

The media is simply ignoring this one.  At a town hall on Wednesday, Beto O’Rourke was asked by a black student about his policy towards illegal immigrants.  Specifically, the student asked him if illegal immigrants should be granted citizenship and American-paid benefits even though they came here voluntarily without following our laws.  Beto first compared illegal immigrants sneaking in to the country to black slaves being brought here against their will.

Beto went on to tell how the manager of a cotton gin he went to visit said people born here in the US won’t take jobs working for him anymore, and that’s why we need to import “immigrants” from Central America and Mexico to help our economy.  It’s the exact same argument southern Democrats used for why we needed slavery in the first place.  Even more disturbing, he is literally telling this black student that we need illegal immigrants because blacks won’t pick cotton anymore.  Not a peep from the media.  Here’s the video:

2. Keith Ellison abused his girlfriend

While Democrats are making the argument that Brett Kavanaugh is not qualified to serve because of an accusation that 36 years ago he as a teenager touched another teenager over her clothes, the media is not spending too much time on credible accusations of domestic violence against Keith Ellison.  Ellison’s girlfriend has now posted medical records detailing the abuse.  But rather than seeing an outcry of #metoo support, the NYT headline is simply that Ellison denies allegations of abuse.

If Christine Blasey Ford is to be believed, isn’t Karen Monahan?  There have been the typical 11th page acknowledgements, but other than that, Representative Ellison’s physical abuse of his girlfriend has been a big yawn for the media.  No one in Hollywood who has come out in blind support of Ford has asked for Ellison’s resignation either.

3. Christine Blasey Ford is 0-3 on the witness count

This is another one that has received light coverage.  Christine Blasey Ford has named other people who were at the party where she was allegedly groped by Kavanaugh.  So far three who have responded, including Ford’s lifelong friend  Leland Keyser, have said Kavanaugh wasn’t there.  None have placed him at any party ever with Ford.  Leland Keyser, who told the Washington Post she believed her friend, wrote to the Judiciary Committee that she had never been at a party or gathering with Kavanaugh.

This is devastating to Ford’s case.  A liberal believing something has little to do with reality.  When it comes to official correspondence that carries penalties if someone lies, Keyser would not back her friend’s claim.  Ford’s attorneys dismissed Keyser’s denial to the Washington Post, saying it would make sense since it happened so long ago and Ford never talked about it.  But Keyser isn’t just denying the allegations.  She’s denying ever being at a party or gathering with Kavanaugh.

4. Democrats violate the constitution and demand the FBI and DOJ defy President Trump’s order to declassify FISA documents and Comey texts

If it were a Republican investigation and a Democrat President, do you think this wouldn’t be 24/7 front page news?  Trump has ordered that the FISA applications that used the Russian dossier to gain authority to spy on his campaign should be declassified and shared with the public.  He is also ordering texts between major players, including Comey and McCabe, to be declassified.  The President has the constitutional right to order this.  In fact, the body evidence revealed already demands that these things be shared with the public.

Democrats Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, and Mark Warner have issued a letter to the FBI and DOJ ordering them not to proceed until they have strategized with them about it.  That is unconstitutional.  Those agencies cannot disobey a Presidential order and delay this declassification.

But the more pertinent question is why?  Why would Democrats be so scared of what might be contained in those memos, interviews, FISA applications, and texts?  None of the Republicans are ordering agencies to defy the President.  Where is the media’s curiosity?

Fake News: Democrats care about the deficit

In 2006 the deficit was about $248 billion.  Democrats called it unpatriotic.  They said tax cuts had killed the economy and skyrocketed the deficit.  They said America was going to go bankrupt.  Conservatives stayed home, Democrats ran a group of so-called “blue dog” candidates who said they cared about the deficit.

Those blue dogs are gone now.  In 2007 when Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid came into power and Democrats took over the House and Senate, the deficit had dropped to $160 billion.  Then came the regulation and the spending.  By 2008 when Obama was elected the deficit was up to half a trillion and in Obama’s first year as President the deficit was $1.4 trillion.  Democrats lost Congress in 2010 and as Republicans gained more control the deficit slowly dropped.  In 2013, it was below $1 trillion again.

Democrats don’t care about the deficit.  If they did, they would talk about cutting spending.  Tax hikes have a negative effect on the economy, and a poorly producing economy means less tax revenue.  But Democrats want tax hikes because it allows them to spend more and accomplish their goal of redistributing wealth from GDP producers to their voters.  So if they can use a high deficit to say we need to raise taxes, they will.

How do we know they don’t actually care about the deficit?  Because Democrats view every dollar cut from anything but the military as draconian austerity measures that throw Grandma off a cliff.  They even include that in their advertising.  Democrats, in addition to opposing any non-military spending cuts, have proposed spending that would double our entire US budget.  They want to spend $3.2 trillion a year on universal healthcare and another trillion a year on guaranteed tuition and jobs.  Even if they cut the entire $600 billion military budget and took every penny of the $2 trillion held by America’s billionaires, they would still need to tax every day Americans an additional $2 trillion a year.  Compare that to Trump’s tax cuts that cost $200 billion a year.

The Democrat budget wish list would cost Americans 20 times Trump’s tax cuts.  And there simply aren’t enough dollars in existence in America to pay for it.  Don’t tell me the Democrats care about deficits.

Hogg rages against Pelosi and “older Democrats”

The media is finally catching up with Trump.  Boasting an “exclusive”, Reuters is finally reporting the real reason Trump doesn’t want to meet with Mueller.  Anyone who has been paying attention knows that Rudy Guiliani has been talking about their fears of the perjury trap for weeks.  Mostly though the media has misunderstood what Guiliani was saying and instead speculated about why Trump’s lawyers might be meeting with Mueller.  When McGahn met with Mueller for 30 hours with no attorney client immunity, the New York Times speculated that he was flipping on Trump rather than speaking on his behalf.

Trump’s concern has been that if Mueller interviews him and he happens to say something contrary to what Comey or someone else has said, Mueller will slap Trump with a perjury charge.  Of course, it would be a he said, he said situation, but Mueller would likely take Comey’s word for it.  Unlike Bill Clinton who committed perjury and was proven to have lied by the DNA on Lewinsky’s dress, Trump would be giving his word versus Comey or some other long time Mueller ally/business associate.

Media discovers Trump is avoiding perjury trap

Speaking of the unhinged media, NY Times columnist Michelle Goldberg said on MSNBC’s The Lid that she believes Trump wants to “murder people without due process”.  Goldberg was explaining why she felt Trump was no longer the leader of the free world, but instead should be classified as a murderous dictator.  When asked if she thought he would murder people without due process, Goldberg replied “he would certainly like to.”

David Hogg is back in the news, giving an interview to New York Magazine.  In the interview, Hogg expressed frustration with “older Democrats”, saying they should get out of the way and let him take over.  He also called Pelosi old and suggested there should be an age limit for people in Congress.  In case you were still taking him seriously, Hogg also said Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was going to be the President of the United States.

8/14/18:The missing tape

CBS is leading off today with a new recording from Omarosa from 2016 in which Omarosa insists to other campaign officials that Trump used the N word while filming the Apprentice.  Omarosa has maintained this claim and that there is a recording, although the existence of the recording remains unverified.  In the recorded phonecall with Lynne Patton and Katrina Pierson, Patton says she asked Trump if he had used the word and he said no.  Someone believed by CBS to be Pierson then says “no, he said it”, although that could be Omarosa talking.  Pierson has denied that they knew about this tape or were trying to spin it.

Omarosa insists that she heard this supposed recording of Trump using the N word, but has not given any details about the specific context.  Producer Mark Burnett apparently called Trump to reassure him no such tape exists.  Omarosa was fired for multiple ethics violations and potentially violated the law by illegally taping White House meetings.

Omarosa cites phantom recording of Trump, but has no evidence

Al Gore is out there now resetting the Global Warming apocalypse timeframe.  Gore said Trump hasn’t been as bad as he thought, and with a new President we could be back on track to save the planet.  Gore has previously cited Global Warming studies to predict that the polar ice caps would be melted and gone by 2014.  Gore also predicted 2016 would be the point of no return for hoping to stop Global Warming.  Apparently, having survived two previous near apocalypses, if only we can get a new President we’ll be OK.  I wonder who he has in mind?

Al Gore discovers the Global Warming apocalypse hasn’t happened yet

Radical Democrat protesters are being investigated by the Secret Service after calling for violence against the President.  The Antifa group, made up of Democrats, Democratic Socialists, and Communists, attacked Trump supporters, beat cops, and tangled with Secret Service in violent demonstrations over the weekend.  Some protesters were asked on camera what they would do if they saw Trump.  Their suggestions ranged from unhinged violence to sodomy and murder.  It is a felony to threaten to harm or kill the President.  The protesters also called on violence towards “fascists”, but their definition is broad and includes pretty much anyone who disagrees with them.

We believe that if Trump has a duty to denounce white supremacist groups over and over, then Democrat leaders have a duty to denounce Antifa as well.  Last year when a tiny group of white supremacists clashed with violent Antifa members, Trump was severely criticized for denouncing violence “on both sides”.  We are now calling out Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and anyone else who considers themselves leaders on the Left.  It’s time to condemn the violent bigotry of Antifa and call on them to go home and consider joining only in the civil debate our political system is built on.

Violent Democrats and Leftists under investigation

Both parties have one thing in common: they are running against Nancy Pelosi

Even if Democrats win the House in November, Nancy Pelosi is unlikely to be the next Speaker of the House.  The much anticipated Blue Wave set to hand Democrats control in November has had it’s share of roadbumps.  While Democrats cheer close races in red districts and claim moral victories when they lose, the Blue Wave theory definitely has it’s skeptics.  One reason for the skepticism might be how fast Democrats are running away from themselves.

Democrats breathed a sigh of relief as every candidate Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez endorsed last Tuesday lost.  Saturday saw another Democratic Socialist loss as Hawaii chose a so called “fiscal conservative” Democrat Ed Case over rabidly anti-Trump Democratic Socialist Doug Chin.  The battle to beat back the Democratic Socialists in the DNC seems on track.

But Democrats are also running against Nancy Pelosi.  In fact 49% of Democrats want Pelosi out of Democrat leadership.  79% of independents don’t want Pelosi running the party.  Many Democrat candidates for the House have also promised to replace Pelosi.

The Democrat blue wave relies on history and political theory.  History says the President usually loses the House in his first midterm.  Political theory says congressional elections are all local.  In other words, people care less about party than they do the individuals who are actually running.  At the same time, the Democrat party is struggling.  Their “abolish ICE” movement exposed their activist wing as idiotic.  But Pelosi has also failed to produce anything other than extreme hatred for Trump as a platform.  The best thing they’ve come up with is how important it is to raise taxes again.

There is no plan B.  Joe Crowley was destined to be Pelosi’s replacement, until he lost to an upstart Democratic Socialist in New York.  For the blue wave to work, Democrats will need to continue to keep it quiet that a Democrat House will be led by Nancy Pelosi or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

8/9/18: Socialism falters, Chris Collins in trouble

Some Democrats are cheering the fall of Democratic Socialism.  In Tuesday’s primary, the candidates endorsed and supported by Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez dropped like flies.  Democrat voters went for the more middle of the left side of the road liberals who don’t openly talk about doubling taxes.  But while Democrats #walkaway from their energetic rising stars, that still leaves them with a November election platform of raising taxes and obstructing Trump.  We’ll see if that ends up being a winning combination.  The candidates on the left with the most success were ones backed by none other than Hillary Clinton.

Down goes Socialism, establishment Democrat party is back on top

Republican Chris Collins is in trouble for insider trading.  The New York representative called family members after the failure of a new drug being developed by a company where he served on the board.  The insider trading saved his son and others about $768,000 in losses.  Collins has vowed to fight.  Congress had passed strong anti-insider trading laws in 2012, but those were walked back the following year and quietly repealed by Obama.

Chris Collins hit for insider trading making his seat a target in November

Speaking of the midterms, Democrats are in trouble in the Senate.  But to take the House, they believe there are only 15 competitive races they have to win.  Of the 23 seats Dems need to retake the House for the first time since 2010, they believe they have 8 in the bag already.  Democrats are not running on much, except for independence from other Democrats and hatred for Trump.  In fact, it’s almost hard to tell who 2018 Democrat candidates despise more, Nancy Pelosi or Donald Trump.  The American people meanwhile have to decide if they believe them.  Democrats have worked in lock step to obstruct any sort of government movement, so it is kind of weird for them to pretend to be independent now when an election rolls around.  The great economy and success of Trump’s agenda doesn’t help either.

Democrats confident in their strategy of having no agenda and opposing themselves
