Will #metoo Dems re-elect Bob Menendez?

New Jersey’s Senate race has been tighter than expected.  Although recent polls by CBS and Quinnipiac show Menendez with a comfortable lead, other outlier polls like one by Stockton University have the race within the margin of error.  Now Bob Hugin is using a new tactic: bringing up Menendez’s severe ethical issues.

Senator Bob Menendez just finished an ethics trial with a hung jury over charges that he was taking bribes and traveling to other countries to hire underage prostitutes.  Menendez voted against Brett Kavanaugh, saying Christine Ford was “not only to be believed” but was “a hero”.  Hugin is now using his own words against him attacking Menendez for hiring underage prostitutes.  Menendez’s lawyers argued that the underage prostitution in another country “would hardly be a Federal crime”.

Here is the hard hitting ad:

Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill is in trouble after a hidden camera caught her and her staff supporting a ban on all semi-automatic rifles and impeachment.  According to her staff, they have to lie about their support in order to get moderate votes in red leaning Louisiana.  They also said they would lie to voters after she was elected saying that national security issues prevented them from saying they would support impeachment.

“It’s like we have to lie to get elected”

“Essentially.”

Here’s the video:

Bill Nelson is another Democrat Senator in trouble.  Nelson sent out an email calling for donations to help Hurricane Michael victims.  But the link in his email goes to Actblue, a liberal Political Action Committee.  Actblue also donates funds to Super PACs which are not legally permitted to coordinate with campaigns or candidates.

Actblue has sent money to several high level Democrats including Elizabeth Warren and Nancy Pelosi.  They have also funded violent Leftist protest groups.  While the funds donated for hurricane relief will likely go to that cause, Nelson’s use of a political PAC to raise funds guarantees that he will get access to their personal information and can solicit further donations or have directed marketing campaigns towards hurricane relief donors.  Nelson did not disclose in his email that Actblue was a political PAC.  He made it sound like they were a charitable relief organization.

Jailtime for Kavanaugh witness?

Leland Keyser doesn’t believe her.  That’s what she indicated in her testimony to the FBI.  Keyser is the closest thing Christine Ford has to a credible witness.  Keyser is Ford’s longtime friend and party pal.  Just like Kavanaugh and Judge used to apparently party and gang rape rooms full of women with no witnesses (according to now discredited Julie Swetnick), Leland Keyser and Christine Ford used to go to high school parties and drink just one beer together.

When Ford remembered that she had been assaulted, and then in 2018 remembered that it was Kavanaugh who did it, she named three other people at that party.  She named Kavanaugh’s friends Mark Judge and PJ Smyth, and she named her own lifelong friend Leland Keyser.  Keyser, along with the others, said she had absolutely no knowledge of any party that Ford and Kavanaugh had been together at.  Keyser has now repeated her denial to the FBI.

As we know from the Russian collusion witch hunt, lying to the FBI will get you at least two weeks in jail.

So who do you believe?  Do you believe her? Or her?  It’s no longer Kavanaugh versus Ford.  It’s Keyser versus Ford.  And Leland Keyser has every motive to lie to the FBI in favor of Ford’s testimony.  She didn’t.

In other Kavanaugh news, we have discovered now that he once threw ice at someone in a bar when he was a college student.  So basically this is all moot anyway.  You can’t throw ice at someone when you’re a college student and expect to sit on the Supreme Court.  I mean, that’s just detrimental to his character.  Anyone who is capable of throwing ice at someone in a bar is certainly capable of anything.  He’s simply a loose cannon.  You never know when Kavanaugh might just lose it, take an ice cube from his cup, and chuck it at Ruth Bader Ginsburg in the middle of a trial.  Actually, it’s worth confirming him just to see that.  Although, in her frail health that could kill her.

But I digress.

Apparently, an ex-boyfriend of Christine Ford’s has sent a letter to Congress stating that he witnessed her coaching students on how to beat a polygraph test.  That’s not huge news, considering her polygraph test consisted of two yes or no questions about whether her statements was false or made up.  She wasn’t asked any specific questions about the details of her allegations.

Julie Swetnick’s interview with NBC was a disaster.  Her allegations of Brett Kavanaugh gang raping her have dwindled down to her being assaulted by unknown people, her seeing unknown people waiting outside of rooms to gang rape women (something no one else remembers), and seeing Kavanaugh standing by the punch bowl and handing cups of punch to girls.  Still no witnesses to corroborate her claims.

As expected, Debra Martinez has given the FBI the names of 20 witnesses to contact, interview and add to the investigation.  And of course, it won’t be considered a “thorough” investigation unless they contact all 20.  My question is if she was playing a drinking game with Kavanaugh and one other in a room by themselves, what were these 20 witnesses supposed to have witnessed?

Let’s stop pretending this is something it isn’t.  Democrats are delaying and praying that they will flip two Republicans.  But they have their own members to worry about too.  Chris Coons, who negotiated the one week FBI investigation with flakey Flake did not sign a Democrat letter to Grassley demanding an additional 24 irrelevant and time consuming interviews for the FBI to include.  Democrat Joe Manchin of West Virginia has not committed to a vote either way.  He is facing a tough re-election bid in a conservative state.  Democrats may be starting to see how much their overreach is damaging their image.  In Florida the polls have tightened to a tie between Nelson and Scott.  Nelson, taking his orders from Schumer, didn’t even bother to interview Kavanaugh and declared a no vote before Trump even made the selection.

Democrats deserve to be punished at the polls in November.  They have literally ruined lives and set an incredibly dangerous precedent in these confirmation hearings.  Kavanaugh should be confirmed, if nothing else than to declare that this sort of circus is not how America works.  Feinstein should be censured for creating this circus, and Corey Booker should resign simply to save Democrats from the “obvious hypocrite” reputation they have earned.  When the founding fathers wrote the words “advise and consent”, I doubt they had this sort of circus in mind.

Right on time, accuser #2.

I feel like I’m watching the confirmation hearings again.  Right when things settle down from carrying out one screaming lunatic and the hearings begin again, another screaming lunatic stands up.  In this case it’s sexual assault accusers with no witnesses, admitted faulty memories, and demands for an FBI investigation.

Today we are dealing with Debra Ramirez.  She’s another liberal extremist who suddenly started to remember vivid details about something that happened 34 years ago with a drunk Kavanaugh.  With her attorney’s help, Ramirez started to remember a drunken party at Yale.  At the party, apparently she and Kavanaugh were playing a drinking game with a couple other friends.  The drinking game involved pointing a fake penis at each other or something like that.  Who knows what goes on at these ivy league fancy parties.

At one point, in her drunken stupor, she though Kavanaugh pointed his real penis at her.  This was confirmed for her as she now remembers someone shouting Brett Kavanaugh’s full name down the hallway saying he had just done this.  Being a strong catholic who goes to parties, gets drunk, and plays with fake penises, she didn’t ever want to actually see or touch a real one until she got married.  It’s a religious thing.

So far three friends of hers and Kavanaugh’s have gone on record saying the incident never happened.  Several others who didn’t want to go on record have denied it happening.  One, who refused to go on record, said he remembered hearing about it one time and is 100% sure it did happen.

Unlike Ford, whose account has also been discredited and has no one who will vouch for her, Ramirez just suddenly remembered this now.  Ford at least had a back story to these memories suddenly surfacing when Kavanaugh was nominated.  She even had therapist sessions about it, although there were no names and the details were different.  Ford also actually submitted a letter to her representative back in July, although Democrats sat on it until now.  Ramirez is coming out of no where.

And then there are the key words.  She wants an FBI investigation.  You would think Senators and attorneys, even if they didn’t understand this before, would know now that the FBI doesn’t drop everything and investigate 35 year old allegations about college students getting drunk and showing off their members.  It’s not a federal crime, it’s past the statute of limitations, and while it may have offended her strict catholic principles to see a real penis while at an alleged drunken revelry, it’s not something the FBI really cares about.  But if they did win an FBI investigation, or any other investigation, they would get their real goal which is delaying the Kavanaugh confirmation.

In the end, what this really proves is that Mike Pence was right.  As a man, you shouldn’t meet with a woman alone.  Even a small group of friends is dangerous.  But beyond that, don’t make inappropriate jokes.  Always be a gentleman.  Train your sons to stay away from women while they are young.  Don’t invite women to business meetings.  Keep the genders separate in grade school, high school, and even college.  Don’t fraternize with the opposite sex.  If you have daughters, be very strict with them.  Don’t let them wear the wrong clothes cause you never know when even someone like Brett Kavanaugh might be a sexual predator.  Don’t let them go to college where they might be randomly attacked by someone who is fooling literally everyone else in the world, but is really a predator.

Maybe if your son is on a date, consider going with him so he isn’t falsely accused.  Try a “courting candle”.  Tell them to kiss dating goodbye.  Don’t hire women.  You are only putting yourself in a bad situation.  Remind your sons that even if they are completely innocent and do nothing wrong, a 35 year old accusation with no witnesses must always be believed and she might not always be your friend.  You might disagree politically some day, and she’ll have ammo to destroy you.

Don’t worry, Liberal Feminists.  We are learning our lesson here.

Governor’s race tightens in Florida

It’s the economy, stupid.  Just kidding, that’s what it used to be.  Now it’s race and phony promises.  Gillum has turned around his political fortune by playing the race card and promising far more than he could ever deliver.  Even with a billion dollar tax hike, you have to wonder how he is going to give teachers raises when the economy crashes.  But none of that matters.  When Gillum destroys the economy, we must all sit and watch in horror with our hands over our mouths.  Any criticism would be racist, just like with Obama.

Fortunately, Floridians may be coming to their senses.  After a shock Rasmussen poll showed Gillum up by six points, the most recent poll out from Florida Atlantic University shows it as a 2 point race.  Rasmussen tends to lean right, giving Trump 50% approval ratings throughout 2018.  But the new poll tracks more closely with Quinnipiac’s 3 point lead for Gillum.  Quinnipiac tends to lean left.  That means the Florida governor’s race is still a toss up.  So perhaps we can have slight restoration of faith in the sanity of Florida voters.

New poll shows 2 point race in Florida

Judiciary committee chair Chuck Grassley has set a deadline of Friday morning for Christine Blasey Ford to decide whether or not to testify about the allegation letter Democrats have sat on since July.  Ford has flipped back and forth on whether she will actually show up.  Her lawyers have demanded an FBI investigation, even though it’s not a Federal issue, there is no evidence to investigate, and the FBI has already reviewed the information and declined.  Perhaps her lawyers aren’t very well versed in how things work.

I suppose Republicans should pat themselves on the back for entertaining this absurd sideshow.  In today’s cultural environment it is really necessary.  But the whole episode is unfortunate.  By turning Ford’s accusation into a circus event and using it as a delay strategy, Democrats have cheapened and discredited women who have been attacked and should be believed.  This, like Gillum playing the race card, harms real victims.  It also harms the country.  Rather than being able to come together in unity and say “racism is bad” or “women deserve to be heard and believed”, reasonable people must pause and ask “was it really racism?  Or was it a common phrase used in a context having nothing to do with race that a Democrat got offended at for political purposes”.  “Is she telling the truth?  Or is she an operative making non-falsifiable claims as a ploy to harm someone else for political reasons?”

It’s not fair that reasonable people should even have to ask.  Democrats have a credibility gap and an honor deficiency that has been made apparent by the Kavanaugh hearings.  They need to fix this.  Not for their own sake, but for the sake of real victims who they have turned into political football to score cheap points.

Ford has until Friday to decide if she will testify

Speaking of credible accusers, the former girlfriend of Democrat Representative Keith Ellison just released medical records detailing the physical abuse she experienced at his hand.  We’ve gone on about Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, and other Democrat heroes who raped and murdered women.  But Democrats typically yawn and go on about how that is ancient history.  The Ellison abuse scandal is not ancient history.  It’s now.  He beat his girlfriend as recently as 2017.

Shouldn’t Ellison step down?  Shouldn’t the media care about this?  The media cycle is filled with a 35 year old accusation against Kavanaugh with no witnesses, no location, no date, no physical evidence, and plenty of political intrigue.  Is there simply no room left to talk about a real, current case of domestic abuse?  Certainly it couldn’t be that the media doesn’t care because of Ellison’s party affiliation.  If that were the case, it would validate Republican complaints that the media is severely biased.

Keith Ellison beat his girlfriend, but no one cares

Republicans call Christine Blasey Ford’s bluff

What started out as an 11th hour hail mary attempt by Democrats to get a delaying investigation has now blown up in their faces.  Democrats have been looking for anything it takes to delay the Kavanaugh nomination long enough to make it a 2018 election issue.  Democrats desperately need something to drive their voters to the polls in key Senate races across the country.

But what Democrats didn’t bargain for is Republicans challenging Christine Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh to testify, and both of them agreeing.  When the Democrats turned an anonymous letter about an alleged assault from 35 years ago over to the FBI, they were hoping for an investigation, smear, doubt, and delay.  It didn’t matter what the investigation would turn up.  Like Russian collusion, all that would matter is that it existed.  Instead we are going to have Kavanaugh, who denies even being at the party, versus a liberal Democrat California professor and her infamous DNC supporting lawyer who refuse to even name other people at the party.

Christine Blasey Ford deserves to be heard.  So did Juanita Broderick, but Democrats didn’t care about that.  So we have the party of Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton putting Ford forward as their new champion to stop Kavanaugh.  Perhaps, like Broderick, Ford will be able to find other witnesses who were at the party and willing to come forward to testify that they saw Kavanaugh there and drunk.  Perhaps, like Broderick who alleged that she was raped by Bill Clinton, Ford will have friends who can testify to what she looked like after the incident.  Perhaps she’ll have something that gives her any credibility.

Then you have the intrigue.  Christine Blasey Ford has a reason to hold a grudge against Kavanaugh aside from the fact that she’s a Trump hating liberal.  Brett Kavanaugh’s mom, also a judge, ruled against Christine Blasey Ford’s dad in a 2006 foreclosure hearing.  Suddenly the metamorphosis of her story from a suppressed memory about a drunken pool party with an attack by four unnamed boys to Kavanaugh drunk at a pool party attacking her with a friend seems even more suspicious.

When she swears an oath and testifies before Congress and they ask her questions like “where was the house” and “what were the names of the other people there” and this thing comes apart, Democrats should face severe consequences.  Already, rather than people coming forward and saying they remember that party, we have 65 women who knew Kavanaugh in high school saying he was honorable and would never have done this.  You would think someone other than Christine Blasey Ford would have remembered Kavanaugh being at that party by now and would have come forward. For Ford herself, she can’t remember where the house was, whose house it was, and how she got there or how she got home.

What we have is a liberal professor with a shifting story that cannot be proven or disproven from 35 years ago about to take the stand and try to convince us that Kavanaugh was a drunk rapist as a teenager.  She has reason to hate Kavanaugh both politically and personally.  The whole story was so implausible that Democrats didn’t even use it until the very last minute as a delay/doubt tactic.  Now this exhibit at the circus is going to be nationally televised.

In a fair world, Democrats would suffer election losses over this circus.  But many Democrats live in the world of Dan Rather, where if they hate someone enough they will know in their hearts any accusation against that person is true.  Or perhaps the world of Harry Reid who acknowledged that he will lie to advance the liberal agenda after falsely claiming that Mitt Romney’s tax returns were fraudulent.  We’ve seen Spartacus at this circus; Corey Booker trying to turn himself into a martyr and hilariously failing.  And of course, the phony Native American Elizabeth Warren trying to fundraise off of the Christine Blasey Ford accusation.

On Monday, the chips are on the table.  Ford will face a lot of questions about her parents’ foreclosure, about where this pool party took place, about who else was there, about why she waited 35 years.  Then we’ll all realize there is no semen stained dress.  There are no tapes.  There are no party going witnesses.  She wasn’t a campaign volunteer who allowed Kavanaugh into her room cause she just wanted to meet him.  She wasn’t a former lover, masseuse, or co-worker in the car.  She’s a hostile operative from the opposing party with plenty of reasons to make it all up and nothing so far to lend her credibility.

Borking failed, Dems try Anita Hill II

Democrats have failed again to stop Kavanaugh.  This time, it was pretty spectacular.  Diane Feinstein came out with a letter yesterday that apparently she had been hiding since summer.  The letter, written anonymously by someone who allegedly begged not to have her identity revealed (i.e. fakenews) supposedly accused Kavanaugh of some sort of sexual crime in high school.  Kavanaugh attended Georgetown Prep, which is an all boys high school.

When Feinstein had no luck getting the phony letter introduced to the judiciary committee as evidence, she went the Bruce Ohr/Peter Strzok route and forwarded it to the FBI to be investigated.  Of course, no investigation is planned.  Feinstein has earned her own clown nose in the Kavanaugh hearings, along with Corey “Spartacus” Booker, and Kamala Harris with her “have you ever talked to anyone about anything” line of questioning.  And here I was hoping Feinstein was trying to be the reasonable and sane voice of the left in the Judiciary Committee.

Feinstein tries and fails spectacularly with phony anti-Kavanaugh letter

Socialists boycotting Jews?  Apparently there is nothing new under the sun.  Florida Socialist and Democrat candidate for governor Andrew Gillum has aligned himself with anti-Semitic groups who have called for boycotting Israel.  Gillum has happily accepted endorsements from racist groups like Dream Defenders who are part of the BDS movement to harm Jewish people economically through boycotts.  This isn’t the first time this approach has been tried in history.

Despite tax cuts, tax revenues continue to increase at record rates.  The government has collected over $1.5 trillion through August.  This beat out the previous record set last year.  While the deficit continues to run high and Congress continues to avoid spending cuts, it shows that tax cuts do increase revenues when it results in economic recovery.  This has been proven now several times.  If Congress could get their act together and cut spending (rather than double it along with taxes), we could have a balanced budget some day.

Tax cuts work, booming economy increases revenues

Think like a judge

When the Kavanaugh nomination process began, everyone knew it would end with him being confirmed.  Harry Reid triggered the “nuclear option”, and with that Supreme Court justice nominations became a guarantee for the party that controls the Senate.  Reid’s gamble was that Republicans had become obsolete and wouldn’t have the opportunity to use the nuclear option themselves.  Or maybe that they simply wouldn’t.  After all, when it comes to judicial confirmation hearings, Republicans have a history of being more honorable than their Democrat counterparts.  See Ted Kennedy versus Robert Bork.

Republicans had a gamble of their own with Merrick Garland.  Garland was the best qualified and most conservative judge Obama was going to select.  He certainly passed the Democrat litmus tests on abortion and anti-gun rights.  But even as an Obama appointee, there was nothing to disqualify him.  Republicans gambled that the voters might have something to say about Scalia being replaced with an Obama appointee.  Indeed they did.

With Kavanaugh, it’s not an election year.  The nuclear option is on the table and will be used.  Democrats can’t stop this.  They can only make a decision whether to be honorable and uphold Senate decorum and tradition, or to come out in a crazy circus to disrupt, delay, and turn the entire confirmation hearing into a joke.  They chose the latter.

We’ve already noted the antics of Corey Booker and Kamala Harris.  Harris pretended she had some sort of damning information about Kavanaugh’s interference in the Mueller investigation.  But when pressed, it turned out she was lying.  She had nothing.  Booker’s attempt was even more pathetic.  In a grandstanding moment for the history books, Booker announced he was going to violate Senate rules and get himself expelled in order to release emails the GOP was supposedly hiding.  But his mission was a bust.  The emails had already been cleared to be released.  On top of that, rather than damning information, the emails showed that Kavanaugh opposes racism and is concerned primarily with accuracy.  Booker’s attempt, at best, was to delay hearings by creating a side show where Republicans stopped everything to kick him off the committee.  But crucifying oneself with no help is pretty hard.

Then of course you had the paid off protesters.  Set to go off one every couple minutes with shrieks and antics until they were arrested.  In all, Democrats created a pretty good precedent and roadmap for every future nomination process.  Clowns to the left, jokers to the right.  But in the end, their antics did nothing more than establish the character of the radicals on the Left.

With all else lost, Democrats tried to turn the Kavanaugh nomination into a campaign rallying cry.  It goes something like this: Kavanaugh is going to single handedly reverse Roe v Wade, and next time you want birth control you’re going to have to go into a dark alley with a clothes hanger.  Where did they get this?  Kavanaugh ruled on Priests for Life v. The United States Department of Health and Human Services.  According to the state, Priests for Life had to provide birth control to their employees.  Priests for Life, as you can imagine, believed this would violate their religious principles.

As a result, leftist groups and media outlets have characterized Kavanaugh as believing birth control causes abortions and willing to rule that birth control should be illegal.  Both of these characterizations are patently false.  But to understand this, you have to think like a judge, not a politician.

Judge Kavanaugh is not a doctor.  He’s not a priest, a scientist, or employer.  He’s a judge.  His job is to listen to arguments and make a decision based on applicable law.  In Priests for Life v The United States, the Department of Health and Human services had to successfully argue that the right of an employee to have their employer buy their birth control for them superseded the right of members of the clergy to act upon their deeply held religious beliefs.  Priests for Life was not prohibiting their employees from purchasing their own birth control.  They weren’t prohibiting employees from buying supplemental insurance to cover birth control.  They simply were not buying birth control or insurance that covers birth control for their employees.

Additionally, birth control is and supplemental insurance are not cost prohibitive.  It’s not like birth control is $10,000 a month and the only way to access it is through an employer sponsored plan.  Any woman or man can use the wages from their employer to purchase birth control if that is something they choose to buy.  The government can’t force employers to make purchasing decisions for their employees when being forced to make that purchase violates the employer’s constitutional rights.

Priests for Life v the United States was not a decision about Kavanaugh’s opinion on birth control.  It wasn’t a scientific statement about birth control.  It wasn’t a decision that employers could force employees to not buy birth control.  When the state and the Priests made their arguments, the Priests successfully showed that being forced to neglect their religious views to make purchasing decisions for their employees was a greater burden than an employee having to use $9 from their monthly wages to go to Wal Mart and pick up their birth control.

In the future, someone may be able to successfully argue that Priests for Life is in the wrong if they, say, put “thou shalt not purchase birth control with the wages we pay you” in their employee handbook.  That could be a violation of the employee’s right to privacy.  Although, in the past employees have been legally fired for violating codes of conduct and they have been restored to their jobs by the courts when violating codes of conduct for religious reasons.  These are precedents the court has to weigh.

Democrats insisting that Kavanaugh is anti-birth control or thinks birth control causes abortions are doing nothing more than fear mongering.  Kavanaugh was presented with both sides of an argument and ruled in favor of the first amendment over an overreaching government law that imposes an undue burden on religious employers.  I’m glad he did.  The Left might be glad he did too when someday a future government attempts to say employers have right to force their employees to wear a rosary.

Whether religious freedom is important to Judge Kavanaugh or not is also irrelevant.  It is in the Constitution, and that is what he as a judge must take into account.  We have three branches of government and methods to amend the Constitution.  If the American people want the first amendment gone, the courts is the wrong branch of government to get that accomplished.

Bad week for the Democrat circus

First, let’s talk about the circus at the Kavanaugh hearing.  Nothing is going to stop Kavanaugh’s confirmation.  So the question was whether Democrats would act civilly like a bunch of elected US Senators, or if they would go off the rails into crazy town.  They chose the latter.  In fact, Democrats in the committee mirrored the paid protesters in the crowd in their level of crazy.

Corey Booker took the cake with his “I am Spartacus” moment.  Booker tried everything he could to throw his Senate career away as a martyr for the cause.  But surprisingly, he failed.  Booker, in a moment of epic grandstanding, promised to release confidential emails even though he knew the consequences were expulsion from the Senate.  He then released 12 pages of emails that did absolutely nothing but show Kavanaugh as an impartial observer who focuses on complete accuracy.  So did Booker succeed in getting himself crucified?  Not quite.  The emails were already cleared to be released.

The next clown to get out of the car was Kamala Harris.  Senator Harris hit Kavanaugh with a line of questioning that amounted to “have you ever talked to anyone about anything”.  When Kavanaugh tried to clarify the question, she mocked him saying “I just asked it a minute ago, I can’t believe you forgot already.”  When he tried to answer by pointing out that he used to work with Bob Mueller and that Russia is on the news every day so of course he has talked to fellow judges about it, Harris gave up in frustration and said “I’ll move on, clearly you aren’t going to answer the question”

She asked Kavanaugh if he had a conversation, but wouldn’t say with who.  She implied he knew who.  Why wouldn’t she just say the name?  Because she didn’t have one.  Kamala Harris was fishing.

Skip to 5:45 in the video to to get to the idiocy of her questioning.

Kamala Harris asks Kavanaugh if he’s had a conversation with you know who

The anonymous Op-Ed in the New York Times is continuing to make fools out of Democrats.  In fact it has had the opposite effect.  Trump senior officials have been quick to not only deny that they wrote the Op-Ed, but to strongly support the President and point to the successes of his administration.  In fact, the Op-Ed has been such an abject failure that some have speculated that Trump wrote  or had it written to have the opportunity to demonstrate the strong support he has in his administration.

What is clear is that if the anonymous author had any hopes of invoking the 25th amendment to have Trump removed from office as incapable of carrying out his duties, that effort has miserably failed.  The author would have had better luck naming himself and calling for a vote.  But I suppose if he did that, then he would completely destroy the credibility of the Russian investigation, which is his only other hope of getting Trump toppled.  Because it’s Rod Rosenstein.

Trump officials come out in support of the President in response to “gutless” Op-Ed

And right on cue, out comes another Democrat clown.  On Thursday, Democratic Socialist Elizabeth Warren was asked if the President should be toppled with the 25th amendment based on the anonymous Op-Ed.  Warren said yes.  She is actually suggesting that the cabinet, along with the Senate and the House, remove the President from office and put Mike Pence in charge because somebody wrote an anonymous Op-Ed.

Do people realize how dangerous this is?  Our constitutional democracy has survived based on the peaceful transfer of power and the vote of the people.  If Democratic Socialists want to cheat to topple a Capitalist President, then the voters will rise up to restore our democracy.  I think Warren perhaps underestimates the voters in her coup attempt.  But socialists toppling free governments and turning them into banana republics is nothing new.

She might want to consider which side all the second amendment supporters are on before starting a civil war.

Democrats show how low they’ll go with coordinated Kavanaugh protests

Less than 10 seconds into the Kavanaugh hearing, Senator Chuck Grassley was being interrupted by Democrat Senator Kamala Harris.  When she stopped talking her colleagues started, and one right after another they interrupted the Kavanaugh hearing like clockwork.  Then came the screams and rants from wild audience members.  Members of the audience screeched preplanned chants and interrupted at key moments, even earning the ire of Democrat Senator Pat Leahy at one point.  It turns out they were scripted too.

Over the weekend, Sen. Schumer and Sen. Durbin hosted a conference call where they coordinated circus like protests from activists.  As the cops dragged one protester out, another one as if on cue would start ranting and raving.  Dozens were arrested for the interruptions and refusing to leave.  At one point Kavanaugh’s daughters were ushered out as the protesters became more radical and insane in their disruptions.

Kavanaugh is going to be confirmed.  The question is how low Democrats will sink in the mud to express their disapproval.

Kavanaugh confirmation hearing disrupted by coordinated protests

Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward are once again forming a one two punch in journalism, but their claims have drawn intense criticism.  Bernstein was caught last week lying about his sources when he reported that Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen had dirt on Trump.  It turned out, Bernstein’s secret source was Lanny Davis, who later denied that Cohen had any info.  Bernstein also lied about reaching out to Davis for comment.

Woodward is being rebuffed by several people quoted in his book, including chief of staff John Kelly.  Others have denied purported quotes by Trump about Jeff Sessions among other things.  Trump was not interviewed for the book.

Bernstein & Woodward go after another President

Evidence has now come out that DOJ employee Bruce Ohr and dossier author Christopher Steele worked together to try to get Russian oligarchs to implicate Trump in Russian collusion.  Ohr’s relationship with Steele has been under the microscope because Ohr continued to funnel information from Steele to the FBI even after the FBI fired Steele.  Texts between the two seems to indicate that they had a system down for funneling fake info about Trump to the FBI to keep FISA warrants active.

The new revelation could show not just sloppy and suspect intel gathering practices, but direct obstruction of justice.  Ohr’s wife worked for Fusion GPS during this time as well.  The question investigators will have to figure out is if the team of Ohr and Steele thought these oligarchs colluded with Trump or if they were just trying to create that dirt to influence the election.  The more the idea of Trump Russian collusion slips away, the more the latter seems likely.

Need to Know 7/28/18 Saturday Edition

Are Americans paying attention?  Yesterday’s economic report showed something the pundits said was impossible.  In fact, in October of 2016 anti-Trump economists said 4% GDP was impossible.  Yesterday the 2nd quarter GDP report came in at 4.1%.  Regardless of what the Left suggests, this sort of economic growth comes from relaxing crushing regulation, cutting taxes, and creating a pro-business environment.  Meanwhile, Democrats continue to run on raising taxes and undoing what Trump has done with the economy.  As the polls tighten, the idea of a blue wave is raising it’s ugly head again.  But Americans need to stop and look at what Trump has accomplished with the economy.  Do we really want to go back?

American prosperity of Trump Era marks turning point in history

Contrast that with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  Ocasio-Cortez was on the Trevor Noah show talking about how to raise taxes on the rich and poor to get another $4 trillion in annual revenue, more than doubling the current size of government.  Ocasio-Cortez suggested the wealthy and businesses weren’t paying enough of their fair share even before the Trump tax cuts.  With some odd math, she seems to be suggesting that we could raise taxes, but not quite as high as they were before Trump, to get more revenue.  As a result, the wealthy would finally be paying their “fair share” of $2 trillion more than they pay already.

But on top of that, Ocasio-Cortez calls for a carbon tax and deep cuts to the military to make up the other $2 trillion.  Of course, the ENTIRE military budget is about $600 billion.  So even if we eliminated the entire military under the Ocasio-Cortez plan, we’d still be short $1.4 trillion dollars.  With the rich paying their “fair share”, that money has to come from somewhere.  She suggests a carbon tax, which would hit every consumer rich or poor.

That’s the Democrat vision.  Kill the economy with taxes on businesses, tax the pants off the poor, and more than double the size of government.  Then government will finally be powerful enough to turn our nation into Ocasio-Cortez and Warren’s version of liberal paradise.  Or we’ll be crushed by debt when they realize you can’t raise $7 trillion in taxes on a failed economy.

Ocasio-Cortez calls for a $4 trillion tax hike to implement the Liberal agenda

Democrat Joe Manchin of West Virginia is breaking ranks and agreeing to meet with Judge Kavanaugh next week.  Sen. Chuck Schumer has ordered a zero tolerance policy towards Republicans, including 100% obstruction.  But Manchin is one of several Democrat Senators who faces an uphill election battle this year.  As the Democrats become more and more radically pro-abortion and radically pro-tax, blue dog Democrats in red states are facing more difficult challenges.  Manchin is on the DNC November endangered list.  Now he’s stuck between angering his red state by not meeting with Kavanaugh, or angering his Democrat base by meeting with Kavanaugh.
